Hmmm…two references to unicorns in one day of toy posting? Something magical is afoot… In any event, whether by leak, hack or ingenuity, images of SDCC ‘08 exclusives are making their way out onto the Internet, and the above unicorns by Joe Ledbetter are no exception. I’m split between giving props to the fella who used his creativity (and no doubt copious spare time) to unveil the above images and then a niggling feeling that by sharing them herein, I’m somehow ruining an element of mystery that awaits SDCC attendees. Well, truth be told, I’ve always been way too high-strung to react positively to surprises. I like a little time for quiet contemplation. And in contemplating these, I’m thinking the one on the right looks like what might happen if a unicorn mated with a block of cheese. My jury’s still out on whether that’s fantastic or craptastic. I think this toy is effing rad. One of my favorite JLED toys to date. I agree, the yellow is a little swiss cheese-ish, but that doesn’t take away from the fact this toy radiates magic!!!
