clay, plush

jillpenney_bats

Jill Penney dropped us a lineĀ  to help populate our new polymer clay category with her punky/anime toys and dolls. If you’re the type of collector who thinks of non-vinyl figures as somehow inferior, I encourage you to take a look at the detail and craftsmanship in Jill’s clay and plush pieces. You’ll really be blown away. And for a relatively young artist, the Arizona designer has been in the scene for a while. Her Troglodytes were featured on Vinyl Pulse in 2005, and she got a nod earlier this year on one of my new gotta-read sites, Polymer Clay Daily. Of course I had to post Jill’s bat (above), as this week is beyond batty with nocturnal fliers from Bwana and Super7. Check out some of Jill’s other work below.
