Huck Gee snuck us a few pictures of his upcoming Year of the Ox custom last week, but here is full disclosure:

Coming this Friday, February 20th at 12Noon PST, Huck will unleash his Year of the Ox SET. He’s revisiting the world of Gold Life for this bull-headed, golden armored, hammer-wielding, skull-crushing beastie: the legendary Minosu Ushi-Oni. According to mythos, he is the sole guardian of the secret mountain retreat of the Glorious Soaring Munks, patrolling the labyrinth-like grounds on his massive golden bull. Few have dared to trespass, and none have walked away with their heads intact…although, if you listen to what some say, Raku has seen the inside of those grounds and lived to tell the tale. Each figure is numbered, signed, and comes with shown accessories. Due to the nature of the materials, some differences should be expected in each figure. 10 figures in this set, $800 per figure. One per person. Here’s the spot.

I like the story behind this one. In general, stories enhance customs for me, so fyi to all you customizers. Huck executes accessories so flawlessly, but I’m a bit thrown by the word “set.” Does the Minoso Ushi-Oni come with a golden Dunny GT redo-colorway? If anyone knows, please do us all a favor and leave a comment. Scientists should study Huck’s eBay store at the precise seconds surrounding his custom drops. It is s a space in time that exists so momentarily that it is just a flash. Best of luck to everybody who wants this. I would think it would have usual significance to all of Huck’s fans, but particular special significance to Chinese fans and those celebrating the recent Chinese New Year.
