Looks like there might be a job opening soon at the Kidrobot shipping warehouse. Seems that the Huck Gee Series 5 Golden Ticket Dunnys are being shipped out as regular orders! A few people who ordered blind boxes online from Kidrobot have reported getting one, two, three, even four of these. And one lucky collector actually scored a FULL CASE!!
Looks like the cat is out of the bag, and now we know what the Golden Ticket Dunny looks like! A fair handful of the usual haters have already jumped on the “So glad I didn’t win a Golden Ticket” bandwagon, but personally I think it’s a pretty solid design. Of course, I also watch a half-dozen kung fu movies a week, so I may not be the best person to ask. Congrats to Huck on this new extension of his continuing theme, congrats to the lucky boardies who have managed to get their hands on these, and here’s hoping no one gets fired over this. Yikes!

I can’t believe how insane this became. I can’t say I regret posting the photo. I do, after all, have the right to question why I received it. But I didn’t get any replies, so next thing I knew was to bring it up on the board… Since other boardies, who also pulled these figures, did the same thing.

I’m waiting to see how this pans out, but so far I am really aghast as how it’s been handled. I hope you had good dealings with KR in person, rizadette, but as far as how it’s been handled online…I’m just kind of looking at my screen going…what?

Jeremy: I’ve never been to KR in person since I’m nowhere near a KR store. Normally, I just buy from them online. Seeing as how “great” they’re communication is, I’m going to purchase my toy fixes elsewhere. And their choice of action is VERY unprofessional. But then again, it IS their forums, so who am I tell them what to do.

Rizadette: I don’t understand how this got to this place either. As far as I understand, you posted a pic of toys you actually own–which means they were out in the world–so not a leaked image and therefore not against board policy. Deleting information to cover someone’s ass doesn’t make it go away. I’ve written things on the Internet long enough to realize that. I am just waiting to see what the reasons for this turn out to be. Ostensibly, there’s SOME reason. But I wish they’d left up the story so people could sort it out. Did you end up with a case of all Huck Gee (possible) GTs after ordering a standard BB case? The deletions make for all these holes in the story…

Jeremy: I originally bought a standard BB case using Case Special promo + KR Board Member promo + free shipping. That was it! When I got it, I was expecting just that: a BB case. Instead, it was one Huck after another. I looked at the barcode on the case, it’s the EXACT SAME barcode on the standard BB case. So, obviously someone messed up during the mass production. That’s all I can say on that.
I will be posting more about this on my blog. At least there, KR has no control on that.

hey rizadette! i want to first say congratulations on pulling that case. thats effing incredible. and i am sorry your situation was not handled in a manner according to normal standards.
i tried to return a broken dunny and had no response…twice. so i know how your feeling.
p.s…do you have anymore of those hucks? i want one!

Hey! I found a golden ticket and I think they look awesome. I think they’re supposed to start shipping in April. Too bad KR wasn’t helpful. Enjoy your toys!
