Now you can own an original Huck Gee custom Munny with a humongous (a “humungy”?) price tag and let everyone know it’s for a cause greater than just wanting to own an original Huck Gee Munny piece with a humongous price tag. All good-spirited digs aside, Huck is donating all of the proceeds from this $1000 one-of-a-kind Munny to the newly formed Phoebe Washer Foundation For The Arts. His piece, Bizumblebee, was inspired by Phoebe’s Beekeeper’s works. Writes Huck:

In April of this year, the local art community lost a very talented young lady to a tragic hiking accident in the Marin Headlands. Phoebe Washer was at the beginning of what I suspected would be a very prosperous and wonderful art carreer…I saw hints of greatness in her and her talent touched and inspired my own works.

I’m not very good with tragedy… who is…. but I was absolutely crushed when I heard the news. The world lost an amazing individual that fateful day…

The POVevolving Gallery & Print Studio in Los Angeles will host a retrospective of Phoebe’s work opening on July 5th and running through July 30th. The exhibition is titled “Phoebe Washer - How Well Do You Remember?” All of the art is also viewable online here: How well do you remember?

A limited edition print set will be available at the show and on POVeditions.com. Another exhibition of Phoebe’s work is planned for September in Petaluma, CA.
