Is a 1/6th scale Arnold Schwartzenegger head one of the most anticipated action figure items of all time?
Hot Toys seems to think so (even though I’m holding out for scaled figures made of real flesh and bone and an insatiable desire to bring me fresh sushi), and they’re proudly announcing their acquisition of full rights to make 12″ tall figures of the whole human 1987 Predator cast, starting with Arnold / Alan “Dutch” Schaefer, and quickly followed by Billy Sole (played by Sunny Landham, just in case you needed to have a good customizable base for your Poltergeist ‘Pool Worker #2′ figure), both due out in the spring of 2009 – with another mystery human to be announced before the end of 2008.
As with all of Hot Toys’ eerily-accurate amazingness, each figure comes with all manner of attire and ultra-weaponry to replicate various scenes from the film – Arnold’s cigar and all. Arnold might just be the most action-figured person of all time (right next to Johnny Depp), and while I might not agree with his politics, I definitely agree with slathering yourself in mud and madcore blowin’ alien stuff up.
