GoHero’s Buck Rogers Sent Even Deeper Into The Future

One of my most anticipated released of 2008 has transformed into one of my most anticipated releases of 2009. GoHero recently announced that, due to a small spate of production issues coinciding with the factory-closing event of Chinese New Year, their Buck Rogers 1/6th figure is being pushed back to the 2nd quarter of 2009. They assure us that it remains thoroughly awesome – especially with that recently added glass-domed helmet.

Joining Buck eventually will be a similarly scaled Flash Gordon, and now, the just-announced Commando Cody, making up an awesome trinity of serial superstars from the dawn of science fiction cinema. GoHero hopes to have some work-in-progress Cody & Flash stuff at their NYCC booth (#956), including the gigantic Titans Cyclops and three new mystery licenses. Hey GoHero, while we’re talking about black & white spacemen figures, I totally wouldn’t mind having a set from The American Astronaut. Go watch it. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to space.
