Gary Baseman’s Creamy from FullyVisual

designers, metal

FullyVisual will be releasing Gary Baseman’s “Creamy” on August 19th at 11AM PST at the newly redesigned Fully Visual website. Gary’s metal melting ice cream joins the esteemed company of pieces by Tim Biskup, Joe Ledbetter, Amanda Visell, Bwana Spoons, Huck Gee, Frank Kozik and Gama-Go. Creamy’s run will be limited to 100 pieces (99 silver/1 gold). Each figure is numbered and I’m guessing it will cost either $120 or $130. The figures are cast from meticulously hand-sculpted prototypes, meeting the exact specifications of each individual artist. I am aware that FullyVisual has had some trouble with its customer service in the past–perhaps misunderstandings, perhaps follies of a one-man business–but they’ve now instituted an Art Liberation Front to serve as their distributer and customer side sales. I know Creamy may be too cute to correlate, but conceptually speaking, I think the steampunks and metallurgists would really dig this. I wish they’d given this metal edition the name of Smelty.
