Dia de los Dunnys Return For Halloween Spooktacular

custom, events, vinyl

There is a contingency of designer toy fans who made our way to the scene not by skateboard but by hearse. Doc Marten to the gas pedal and black nails on the steering wheel, goth, like Bela Lugosi, is dead, but we live on. And perhaps that’s why as a one-time goth DJ, I connect to the work of self-proclaimed “former goth,” Phoebe Marie. Phoebe is dropping six new Halloween-themed Dia de Los Dunnys at Cleveland’s Halloween Spooktacular show at Low Life Gallery. The show opens Friday, October 3rd at 6PM. Like her last series, these have tons of tiny accouterments and will likely be affordable for fans looking to deck out their digs for Halloween in designer style. The figures represent iconic Halloween characters (check ‘em on Flickr) and are set in Phoebe’s elaborate Day of the Dead vignettes. Great stuff. And won’t one of these look nice next to your upcoming Pumpkinator Qee? Just sayin’.
