Beyond Toys, designers

Two existential questions for today: Question 1: What’s even harder to find in America than Qee and Be@rbrick? No, not videos on MTV and VH1 (true though). No, not a glimmer of life in the McCain campaign (also true though). Finally, no not a single brain cell on I Love Money (but it’s true too). The answer is Devilock’s Palmboy figure, which was nowhere for a while and now is everywhere all at once [blogged like crazy]. Question 2: Doesn’t it seem like I’m blogging up a lot more shirts than toys lately. If yes, what does it all mean? If no, are you paying attention?

In any event, Devilock is making it easier for you to score their merch with the premiere of their online store, and they’re kicking it off with some honorary t-shirts like the black and gold Palmboy shirt above. If you want the swanky green and silver colorway (below), you’ll have to click here and drop 6,300 Yen ($58 USD + shipping). Damn the high cost of cool shirts and the weak value of the American dollar because you just can’t beat a green and silver colorway. If I’m allowed a gripe, it’s just that they have an English version of their site (NSFW, by the way!), but none of the prices or info are in English. Buying Devilock gear is getting easier, but it’s still a distance from simple.
