Cikolata Made to Order Japanese Dolls

plush

Check out these wacky patchy plushes from Japanese designer Cikolata. Cikolata hand-knits these plushes, and each is made exclusively upon request. The dolls range from 10-20 inches tall and include birds (above left), rabbits (below left), leopards (below right), sausages (not pictured) and rock-n-rollers (above right). Prices vary from about $36 to $84, which is pretty great for a hand-made original custom figure. Cikolata’s dolls are made to a “supreme standard,” and Tokyocube (Cikolata’s exclusive distributor outside Japan) reports that they “have a really nice feel to them.” This is the thing about hand-made plush. Sometimes it’s hard to justify spending the money without actually getting your hands on it. I’d definitely like to see these, touch these, feel these (Tommy can you hear me?), but until I get a chance, view the selection here.
