After a few months of blogging about Letter Pressed‘s Artist Series [tagged], I’ve finally got my (clean) hands (gently) on (the corners of) a couple Letter Pressed cards–and they’re amazing. Please click to enlarge these pictures of Art Print #12 by Chris Ryniak and try to take in the beauty of the process. Briefly revisiting the Wikipedia entry on Letterpress, we find “Letterpress printing is a term for printing text with movable type, in which the raised surface of the type is inked and then pressed against a smooth substance to obtain an image in reverse.”
Chris’ print is a two-color letterpress print on Lettra Pearl White 300gm cotton paper, 8×10 inches and signed and numbered in an edition of 50. If you recall, the design Chris did for Hi-Fructose sold out on a t-shirt–and these will too, so move on it. $50 here.
