On July 18th Chet Zar and Alex Grey will be taking part in a performance painting session organized by COSM at Club 740 in downtown Los Angeles. Other participating artists include Allyson Grey, Guy Aitchison and Michelle Wortman, Saber, Wendy Klein, Jarret De Martino and others.
The event will include a number of presentations and panel discussions about visionary art and creativity. This will be followed by the main live painting performance mixing the genres of the artists: mystical, tattoo, graffiti and creature FX.
The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM) is a sanctuary in New York City for contemplation and a center for events encouraging the creative spirit. It contains The Sacred Mirrors, a series of paintings that allow people to see themselves and each other as reflections of the divine. Club 740 is a downtown, Los Angeles nightclub. It contains three levels with glass walls, exotic go-gos and a “fierce atmosphere.” Helluva mash-up, but sounds intriguing! [Via BeinArt]
