Join GAMA-GO and Ningyoushi in an Oktoberfest celebration with free beer and a special edition Deathbot in Lederhosen. Oktoberfest is a sixteen-day festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September (and running to early October). It is one of the most famous events in the city and the world’s largest fair, with some six million people attending every year, and is an enjoyable event with an important part of Bavarian culture. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the Munich event. Case in point: San Francisco. The party starts on October 13th at 6PM at the City Beer Store in the SOMA neighborhood. For two hours, you can drink from a free keg of German beer (hopefully they’ll have more than one keg for an hour…) and chat over all things Deathbot with the Ningyoushi crew at their favorite watering hole. This will also be your first shot at grabbing the Deathbot Lederhosen wooden toy (limited to 400 pieces). I’ve got the Golden Deathbot (thanks Denise and Omar!) and it’s a great 5.5-inch wooden ‘bot with sweet packaging. This Lederhosen ‘bot replaces the standard angst with a smooth brew, but keeps the quality of the Tim Biskup character intact. 21+ for the event ’cause of the booze.
