We’ve been tracking these Care Bear Be@rbricks since the 2008 Medicom Toy Exhibition in June. Jason asks, whats next, Rainbow Brite? And indeed, maybe she is. There’s quite a big interest in My Little Pony at the moment…Even though some companies interpret the designer toy scene as a forward moving/no nostalgia movement, from Simpsons to Smurfs to Star Wars, it’s hard to turn your back on the toys of your youth. Even harder when you grow up to be a designer, painter or mogul and can realize your own interpretations. In any event, big ups to J.ME for reporting on his blog that Cheer Bear and Funshine Bear are due out in October and November.

These care bear bricks are an atrocity, what the heck are they thinking? they look stupid.
these companies need to stop bastardizing their properties with lameness like this. this is just further proof that my childhood has been ruined for life.
