I think when it comes to KFGU, folks love it or hate it–and the same can be said for the dripping breast creature oeuvre of Buff Monster. A piece like this is therefore kind of a grail for people who like both. The KFGU series is like a more “palatable” kind of kaiju for urban/designer vinyl collectors. Compare Tim Biskup’s Rangeas to a non-KFGU Rangeas for an idea. If you typically look at kaiju figures and think, “what the eff is that ugliness, but I do enjoy quasi-cute monsters,” KFGU may be for you. I’m digging this.
