October is breast cancer awareness month. In the year 2004 a U.S. Cancer Statistics Working Group found that 186,772 women and 1,815 men were diagnosed with breast cancer, and 40,954 women and 362 men died from breast cancer–in the U.S. alone.

S-Woman, the women’s magazine portal of Shueisha is working on a Pink Ribbon Charity Project for the month of Breast Cancer Awareness. Medicom Toy will be supporting this project by releasing the 100% Be@rbrick Pink Ribbon. Tokyo Tower (above right) will also shine in pink to support this project. [via ToyBeast]
