If Bounty Hunter is always killing it with his cereal-themed toys, would it make you vomit in your mouth a little if I called BxH a cereal killer? OK don’t answer that. But today’s mail brought a missive from Ruru of AROFOS giving me a heads up to the latest version of Bounty Hunter’s cereal-spawned Cap’n Bounch figure. Now BxH’s founder, Hikaru Iwanaga is a self-professed cereal box character fanatic. Of his now-iconic Kid Hunter character, he has said, “I wanted to make something original that nobody had seen before. I wanted to have the cereal-box style. I wasn’t thinking of the customers at all. I just wanted it for myself.”

HypeBeast has good photos of last year’s Cap’n Bounch colorways (Bounty Hunter version in black and SiLLY THING version in red). But coming this October, BxH and Taiwan’s AROFOS bring a traditional dark blue colorway to Cap’n Bounch in commemoration of the store’s 2nd anniversary and opening of AES. Unfortunately, the figure will be available exclusively at AROFOS and AES.
