The folks over at the UK’s Monster Workshop seem to live in a hotbed of monster neglect and cruelty, and it’s their singular, selfless ambition to rescue and relocate every last one of these beasts. It is not a Workshop by the Monsters, but for the titular Monsters. Say what you want about the US – we treat our monsters well. Hell, we made one president for eight years.

At this moment, Monster Workshop has an even dozen of unique monster discoveries that are seeking homes, and for the minimal adoption fee of $35 to $60, depending on the size of your particular favorite creature, they can be yours. Not only is it a unique, handmade and lovingly narrated creature yours to bring home, but 5% of every purchase is donated to animal rescue. You have to love those altruistic toys that give back.

Each piece is a one-of-a-kind plush sculpture – and just ugly, squinty and hairy enough to be endearing. It’s like I’m looking in a mirror.

Read the monster bios at their site, and definitely check out the Blog for some tales of monster-woe, and photographs of the guys out in the wild, as if you need a reason to bring them home.
