I just got back from voting in my county primary and this just in: Putting an end to a grueling marathon (and that’s not just the SNL parodies) with historic implications, Barack Obama has clinched the Democratic nomination and will face John McCain in a bid for U.S. presidency. Hillary Clinton is expected to concede tonight. There are already whispers of an Obama-Clinton dream ticket. We are ready for some change.
Now to segue from a controversial campaign to a controversial artist. Ron English has partnered with Upper Playground and FIFTY24SF to produce a President Lincoln inspired Barack Obama poster.
Ron English’s Barack Obama poster is part of an ongoing series from Upper Playground of artist collaborations in support of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign including artwork from The Date Farmers, MunkOne, Alex Pardee, Morning Breath, Mac and Sam Flores–all of which have sold out.
There are 200 Ron English prints available that will be signed and numbered. Each poster retails for $200. The limited-edition 18″X24″ print is available exclusively online at www.upperplayground.com. Expect what was already a hot property to sell out even quicker now. Congratulations, Barack.
