Ashley Wood has been incommunicado for a vacation, but posted some updates on his blog.

• The ongoing WWR comic will debut January 2009, initially as a monthly. “It will really expand the WWR world and the way of doing comics.”
• The Les Mort 13 figure is still available for sale at Bambalandstore.com.
• The pre-order for Noir de Plume and Bramble will hit Bambalandstore.com “very soon so keep ya eyes peeled.”
• Also coming soon from 3A toys: Zombies vs. Robots 12″ figures and Popbot-related 12″ figures.
• New books: 48 More Nudes, Dos Taurino and Swallow 5 “featuring a bunch of fantastic artists!”

Regarding 48 More Nudes, Ashley mentions penning and deleting a related rant on his blog. Being no stranger to penning and deleting rants, I’m curious if it has anything to do with differing fan bases or pressures of being an artist. I find myself hard-pressed to imagine any of the folks I know who have Berties also owning a book of fine art nudes. Hopefully fans and critics alike aren’t giving a great artist a tough time with exploring non-toy, non robot pursuits. Support fine art!
