Angelina Jolie Love Doll!

Beyond Toys, plastic

Okay, this guys’ dolls totally freak me out. Why? ‘Cos many of them are eerily accurate that when I looked at his work, sometimes I couldn’t distinguish if I was looking at a doll or a photograph. These pieces of doll magic are by an artist named Noel Cruz, who began as a portraitist. Noel is from the Philippines but lives in California, where apparently he was bitten by the celebrity bug. He takes the standard female form, mass market doll named Gene and customizes the figures into representations of Hollywood starlets. He also works with like sized canvases like the Tyler, Syndey and some sort of Franklin Mint figures. I found these photos of his work via the online gossip rag TMZ of all places. In his gallery he has photos of his figures of Angelina Jolie, Johnny Deep, Keira Knightly and even Celine Dion. Check out his whole gallery of stars here.
