custom, designers, vinyl

Andrew Bell-Pillaged KapalaIf you’re able to attend the grand opening of KidrobotNY, be sure to check out Andrew Bell’s latest creation. His “Pillaged Kapala” is a 20″ custom Dunny made especially for KidrobotNY. It will be on display and available for sale for the next few weeks.

I love the intricate paintwork on the back. You can see more pictures on his Flickr page.

In case you’re curious: “A kapala or skullcap is a cup made from a human skull used as a ritual implement in both Hindu Tantra and Buddhist Tantra.” (via Wikipedia) Of course I had to look that up because I had no idea.

I'm a nerd who loves music, movies, graphic novels, and of course toys. I grew up in Los Angeles, and I currently live in the non-plastic part of Orange County. I'm a sucker for anything that is little and cute: plushies, Dunnys, Smorkin' Labbits, zipper pulls. My collection is dominated by Kozik and Uglydolls, and my latest obsession is IWG/Rocket World.
