Before Amanda Visell (who’s work we totally adore) packs up her bags and heads off to the star-studded Baby Tattooville event this weekend, she has posted a little something something on her brand new blog.
What piece of greatness did she bestow on us mere mortals today? The sculpture Centaur Love. This is an amazing sweet and whimsical sculpt. The piece will be in a show put on by Billy Shire (of La Luz de Jesus and Billy Shire Fine Arts Gallery fame) at the Riverside Art Museum called Beyond Baby Tattooville. The reception for this show done in conjunction with the weekender is on October 4th. Along with Amanda’s Centaur Love will be pieces by Glenn Barr, Dave Cooper, Bob Dob, Joe Ledbetter, Shag, Amy Sol, Michael Whelan, Tara McPherson, Lola and many others. If you’re down there for the Baby Tattooville event or just happen to be in the Riverside area, this is a must see.
