Seriously, Alex Pardee is consistently invigorating the art scene with inspired moves like this. Not only did I have this cassette, but I’ll show my age by saying that I probably also had a “She Bop” cassingle. [Remember that brilliant idea: 2 songs on a big chunk of plastic?] Not that I had any idea what the lyrics meant at the time, but it’s fair to say that Cyndi Lauper was singing about it long before the Devinyls got all that attention. She’s So Unusual & He’s Kinda Weird is painted directly on the album cover for an upcoming show at G1988 entitled Cover Band. More on that to follow…
