Last week I blogged about the 3 Bears Mini-Dunnys made by Wuz One. This 3″ Zulu Mong is a different custom Dunny by Gawein, another Kidrobot board member. As he states on the thread, he used POSCAS markers to paint over the black background. (I love when custom artists discuss the how’s of their work.) It’s still a work-in-progress, but it looks great so far. Zulu Mong’s torso contains a lot of fine details, and his paintwork is impressive. To refresh your memory, take a look at the original 8″ Zulu Mong. Visit the thread to see more pictures of Gawein’s craftsmanship.
To see more of his custom toys, visit his blog and Flickr account. I don’t speak Spanish, so I just look at the pictures on his blog. I like the simple design of his “Japanese Brothers” Dunnys. On his Flickr page, his Pau Gasol Dunny caught my attention. It doesn’t really look like Gasol, but any Lakers fan can appreciate the effort he put into it. Gawein shows a lot of talent and creativity, and I look forward to seeing more of his custom projects.
