Is today your lucky day? Well it should be. 08.08.08 is considered to be a very lucky indeed, especially in the Chinese culture. For example, today about 9000 couples in Beijing will be tying the knot, more than double the usual amount. And Chinese officials planned their big “coming out” party, also known as the Olympics Opening Ceremony, to take place on this auspicious date.
To bask in the glory of good fortune, MINDstyle is launching their new international division offices in Hong Kong today with their “creative space” opening later in the month. To honor this big day for them, the date and for the Olympics, they are releasing three very special figures. There is the 16” Panda Slap Happy by Brandt Peters, the Benny & Red Bird Hot Version by the one and only Kathie Olivas and a 8” China Star by Buff Monster. Only 88 of these were made of each and will be released at the Delay No Mall store in Hong Kong. But if you aren’t over there for the games, to live or just for some dim sum, you still have a chance to get your hands on them.
